In 1991, RDA Group became the first company to collect all
central location survey data on handheld computers. This data
collection method is more interesting and engaging for
respondents and more accurate because of the power of the
software developed for it. In addition, this method allows
faster and less costly data turnaround since it eliminates the
need for a separate data entry step inherent in hard copy
surveys.
As central location surveying became more complex, RDA Group
developed our computer aided Multimedia Personal Interview
system, or CAMMPI. This is a true multimedia concept display
and data gathering tool that provides consumers with a clearer
understanding of complex products, concepts and technology.
